Red fox in care

This red fox was first seen on September 13th by Toronto Wildlife Centre rescue volunteer Ann, who could see that the fox was exhibiting early signs of mange. As the sick fox was in her neighbourhood, she closely monitored a trap set by Rescue Team member Sarrah. However, foxes are incredibly smart and will not enter a trap unless they are desperate for food. Over the next month, Ann and her neighbours watched helplessly as the fox grew sicker and weaker.

On the 16th of October perseverance paid off and the fox entered the trap. He was brought to Toronto Wildlife Centre where he is undergoing treatment for mange, and getting stronger every day.
