"Swim for the Wild"

The brave Swim
for the Wild team made it back home—all safe, but a little worse for
wear. Founder Kim Valenta describes the journey: “What a swim! Five
days of rain and thunderstorms, very cold weather, several injuries,
three bear encounters, hundreds of leaches and thousands of bug
bites helped add to the challenge of swimming across Algonquin Park.
In the end, we all pulled together and made it safely across.”
This incredible event, in support of Toronto Wildlife Centre, raised
over $8000, with every cent going towards wildlife care and
rehabilitation.
