very much for your interest in donating securities to Toronto
Wildlife Centre. On this webpage you will find directions on how you
can transfer your securities to TWC in the most convenient and
simple manner. Again, thank you very much.

In May of 2006,
the federal government made changes to the budget that makes it more
attractive to donate publicly traded securities to charities. Now
you can donate publicly traded stocks, bonds and shares of mutual
funds to Toronto Wildlife Centre without having to pay capital gains tax on these
securities. Plus you will receive a tax receipt for the value of the
shares.
For example, if you donated a gift of securities worth $5,000 to Toronto Wildlife Centre that you acquired for $3,000, you would receive a tax receipt
for $5,000 and you would not be taxed on the $2,000 capital gain.
The tax savings greatly reduces the actual cost of your donation.

fax the completed form to (416) 849-0209.
Your receipt will be issued based on the closing price of the
securities on the day they are received in the TWC’s brokerage
account.
Eligible securities include bonds, shares and mutual funds listed on
North American stock exchanges.
