Thank you
very much for your interest in helping sick, injured and
orphaned wild animals by organizing your very own
fundraiser! Fundraising for wildlife can be simple or
complex – it’s really up to you! Here are some things to
consider if you are interested in organizing a fundraising
event for Toronto Wildlife Centre:
1) First things first! Pick an activity or event that you
will enjoy putting together and facilitating. Other TWC
supporters have held concerts, distributed donation boxes at
local stores, organized drives at school, swum across
Algonquin Park…

2) Contact
Julia at 416-631-0662 Extension 3224 to discuss your idea,
tax receipts, and ways that TWC might be able to help.
3) Gather a team of friends, family or colleagues to help
see your event through. Planning can be fun and easy with a
strong and dedicated team.
4) Decide on the logistics: Where will the event take place?
How much will you sell tickets/lemonade for? Who will you
invite? How will you advertise? What sorts of
supplies/volunteers will you need to run the event? How much
will everything cost? How much time will you need to
organize everything?
5) Make a list of goals, deadlines and jobs – assign tasks
to your team members and/or volunteers.
6) On the day of the event, create an event agenda, with
detailed lists of job descriptions and roles.
7) Have fun!
