Toronto Wildlife
Centre is governed by a Board of Directors who truly believe in helping
wildlife and the community through education, rehabilitation, and
conservation.
Gary Gibbs, B.A., LLB - Chair
Gary Gibbs has served on the Board of Directors for The African Wildlife
Conservation Fund and Zoocheck Canada. He was a founding partner of
Stieber Berlach Gibbs, an insurance defence law firm, and has recently
established his own five-lawyer litigation law firm, Gibbs & Associates.
He provides his services as TWC's lawyer and has been on the Board of
Directors since 1997.
Amy Halliday, B.Sc., MBA - Treasurer
Amy Halliday has worked with a variety of wildlife and environmental
organizations, including Environmental Defense Fund and World Wildlife
Fund. She joined Toronto Wildlife Centre’s Board of Directors in 2001
and brings to TWC experience in both wildlife rehabilitation and
non-profit fundraising and development.
Dr. Peter Papadogianis, B.Sc., M.Sc., ND (Naturopathic Doctor) -
Secretary
Naturopathic doctor, author and professor at the Canadian College of
Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Papadogianis has extensive experience with a
diversity of health-related institutions and has served on the board of
directors of several organizations. He has been involved with Toronto
Wildlife Centre for close to a decade, and joined TWC's board in 2004.
Brad Nathan, BA, IMBA, CA - Member
Brad Nathan is President of the merchant bank, Succession Capital
Corporation. He possesses over a decade of experience in the financial
and merchant banking community and has held positions with
PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Rothschild Group. He is a Director of The
Homes First Society, and sits on the young adult committee of POGO (The
Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario). Brad joined the TWC Board of
Directors in 2005.
Sherri Cox – Member
Sherri Cox is a student veterinarian at the Ontario Veterinary College.
In 2009, she will graduate with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
and Master of Business Administration (MBA). Before returning to
university, Sherri spent fifteen years in various management positions
in a Fortune 50 company. In 2003, Sherri founded Veterinary Business
Consulting. She has been a volunteer at Toronto Wildlife Centre since
2001, and joined the board in 2006.
