Toronto Wildlife Centre puts a great deal of effort into providing educational resources to promote peaceful co-existence with wildlife, and humane response to wildlife situations.
1.The Wildlife Hotline - At the heart of Toronto Wildlife Centre’s environmental education program is our Wildlife Hotline, a call-in service providing information and advice about every imaginable wildlife situation. Internationally recognized, it is the busiest service of its kind in North America, responding to over 30,000 calls per year, and up to 200 calls per day. TWC’s Wildlife Hotline is relied upon by members of the public, organizations, municipal animal service agencies, the police and others.
2.Educational Resources – TWC provides education to the public and organisations through literature, information on this website, public education campaigns, microsites, (Check out: www.keepanimalssafe.ca), and an extensive Hotline manual created as a resource for other organisations receiving calls about wildlife situations. For inquires on where to purchase the hotline manual please send us an email.
3.Presentations & Events - TWC participates in various community events to reach out to as many members of the public as possible, and our education staff offer special presentations for people of all ages.
